Resumen:
This contribution investigates the interaction between pyridine and bulk phosphotungstic Wells Dawson heteropolyacid H6P2W18O62.13H2O in order to determine the nature and number of both Lewis and Brønsted acid sites. This study was performed through the chemisorption of pyridine at R.T. followed by the continuous analysis of the material with in situ infrared spectroscopy. The results allowed to conclude that the compression of the material during the preparation of the self-supported wafer and the low surface area of the heteropolyacid inhibit the adsorption of the molecular probe.
