Resumen en inglés: Status, socio-economic, Guaraní people In this paper we analyze the socio-economic situation of the Guarani in the lowlands of the province of Jujuy, comprising the departments of San Pedro, Ledesma, Santa Bárbara of this Province. It aims to provide analysis from interdisciplinarity through political science, economics and anthropology. The partial results presented is part of a chapter of my doctoral thesis named "The Political Organization of the Guarani de Jujuy and the National Constitutional Reform (1984-2010)". Methodologically it will be analyzed from two perspectives. On one hand, review all documentation on the subject in libraries and archives of the province and on the other hand will apply techniques of socio-anthropological research, among which stands out participant observation and application of open and structured interviews. These techniques were applied in the different units of study selected. It describes, from an interpretative paradigm, through which display the socio-economic situation of the indigenous peoples of the lowlands. Preliminary and partial conclusions allow us to infer the marginal situation of this group, despite the advancement of the national and international legislation.
