Resumen:
In this paper we deal with the best $arphi$-approximation operatorby constants extended from an Orlicz space $L^{arphi}(Omega)$ tothe space $L^{psi^{+}}(Omega)$, where $psi^{+}$ denotes the rightderivative of the function $arphi$. We obtain pointwiseconvergence for a suitable class of functions. Also we consider amaximal operator which allows as to get modular convergence for aspecific class of Orlicz spaces.
