Resumen:
Every year the petrochemical industry generates over300,000 tons of spent FCC catalyst [1]. Considering the aluminosiliceous natureof this type of catalyst, it is interesting to study the synthesis of zeolitedirectly on the catalyst surface by using a part of the catalyst as rawmaterial for  zeolite synthesis. This iscalled ?in situ? synthesis, because the catalyst is not only used as rawmaterial but also acts as the support of zeolite.In this work, we study the influence of the starting mixturecomposition on the conversion of exhausted FCC catalysts into ZSM-5 zeolite.
