Resumen:
Mesoporous silicas are carrier matrices currently studied in drug delivery applications. Surface functionalization of the silica is often employed in order to enhance the interaction between the drug and the support. The way in which the functionalization is performed could influence the adsorbed amount of medicine. The purpose of this paper is to synthesize amino-functionalized mesoporous silica SBA-15 using different methodologies in order to determine the influence of these variations on the adsorption and subsequent desorption of cephalexin.
