Clay Modification with linear PEI and Cu(II) for pollutant removal: TD-NMR and HR-TEM insights

This study focuses on the modification of laminar clay montmorillonite using linear polyethyleneimine polymers of varying quantities and molecular weights, as well as the incorporation of copper ions, both before and after polymer modification. The structural characterization of the materials was achieved mostly through Low-Field NMR and HR-TEM techniques, providing insights into their composition and morphology which allowed to optimize the efficiency of these materials for pollutant removal.
