Iron (Fe) accumulation in specific brain areas and ferroptosis areassociated with various neurodegenerative disorders. We have previouslyestablished an in vivo model of Fe overload (C57BL/6 micetreated with Fe 333 mg/kg) with midbrain neurodegeneration andlipid cacostasis.
