Resumen:
In 1833 Charles Darwin reached the Argentinean territory. In his journey through our country, his work as a naturalist led him to modify his own ideas about life and its origins. Moreover, the support and knowledge of members of ?our? science, like Francisco Muñiz, helped Darwin in analyzing several biological processes in different species of flora and fauna, and also in the understanding of geological processes, which would be decisive in his research. Consequently, the case mentioned here would seem to manifest that the science ?spread models?, which consider its creation in central countries and a passive gathering of these productions on peripheral countries, show serious issues. Taking this case into account, the young English was helped by the notes produced by a local scientist to perform his work.
