A synopsis of Solanaceae from Caquetá (Colombia)

We present a complete list of Solanaceae species that grow in the department of Caquetá (Colombia), including their generic diversity by municipalities, sampling situation, conservation status, chorological and recent described novelties. We also provide a dichotomous key for the genera. Overall, 116 species of 21 genera were listed, being Solanum L. the best represented with almost half of the species. The municipality with the highest number of recorded species was Florencia (Capital of Caquetá), with 84 species. We found 23 new records for the flora of Caquetá and one for the flora of Colombia, in addition to five taxonomic novelties, an endemic species and 15 cultivated species. This work is expected to be an input for future conservation programs in Caquetá.
