Resumen:
ur ability to produce and manipulate non-classical states of light at different wavelengths, from microwave to terahertz to visible and ultraviolet, constitutes the fundamental building blocks of a new technological revolution that has already started. Indeed, during the past two decades, quantum devices have become the engine of technological innovations in many different fields of science and engineering. Along these lines, recent years have witnessed a considerable burst of experimental and theoretical work highlighting the potential of quantum light for offering unprecedented levels of sensitivity and resolution in imaging, spectroscopy and sensing applications. In this Research Topic, we aim at highlighting state-of-the-art research in quantum imaging, sensing and spectroscopy, including the efforts being done in the generation and manipulation of quantum states of light, such as single-photon sources, entangled photon pairs, squeezed light, and their real-world applications.
