With an unprecedented discovery, Type IIb supernova (SN) 2016gkg, was detected briefly after the explosion. This resulted in a wide temporal and photometric coverage allowing the first consistent modeling of a SN light curve {starting} from {the} shock breakout. The flux evolution during the first hours and days after the explosion is crucial to understand the SN and its progenitor star. This motivated us to develop a code that calculates the bolometric light curve, paying special attention to the early phase. We present here the obtained bolometric luminosities in comparison with the ones of other Type IIb SNe. We also studied the relations between bolometric corrections and color for the early stages, which can be applied to future SN observations.
