Resumen:
We present a first comparative study between the light curves of supernovae (SNs) Type IIb (SNIIb) and Type II (SNII). It is believed that the progenitors of the SNII have retained almost all of their hydrogen-rich envelope because their spectra are dominated by this element, whereas the progenitors of the SNIIb lose almost all of this envelope, though not complete, because their spectra transition from being dominated by hydrogen to being dominated by helium. The differences observed in the morphology of the light curves are related to properties of the progenitors such as the amount of hydrogen in the envelope and the pre-SN radius. The aim of this work is to analyse the light curves of both SN types to test the hypothesis that there is a continuum between them.
