Resumen:
Arsenic is a contaminant in underground aquifers worldwide. Chaco-Pampean plain, Argentine, is one of the areas that has been affected by natural inorganic As transport into wells water. In this work, information about groundwater quality of west Santa Fe province is presented, mainly considering arsenic. Samples were collected from 180 well sites and were analyzed for arsenic, total hardness, nitrite, nitrate, chloride, sulfate, alkalinity, pH, Total solids and fluoride. Naturally occurring arsenic contamination is common in ground water in the studied area, where concentrations are correlated with fluoride.
