Resumen:
The abortion debate in El Salvador, where this practice is entirely illegal by law since 1997, currently takes place in different national, international, social and political scenarios. The way in which the debate emerges in the public sphere shows how the legal, unllegal and moral aspects of the voluntary termination of pregnancy are presented as a political and social fact. In this context, state and civil actors compete to set the legitimacy of their points of view. Considering this scenario this talk will try to contextualize and analize the strategies in the political and legal field such us the play of the main actors involved in the disputes over abortion in El Salvador in the last 15 years.
