Resumen:
We obtain new bounds on the entries of the inverse of adiagonally-dominant tridiagonal matrix. Our bounds improve the bestprevious bounds, due to H.-B. {Li} et al. We apply our bounds to thetridiagonal matrices arising in the second-order finite-differencediscretization of certain boundary-value problem of parabolic type.
