Geomorphology of the Tilcara region, JujuyThe Tilcara región is characterized by semiarid climate with important rainstorms during the summer; the vegetation is absence or sparsity. The fluvial dynamics inthis environment is related with irregularities on the precipitations. Terraces and the aluvial fans are the prevailing morphology; they are cartographied and described.The mass-flow processes are importa nt ; the debris flows, mudflows, and hypercincentrated flows are common,and afected the region.
