Resumen:
The success of dental and bone implants strongly depends on a good integration of the biomaterial to the surrounding tissues. This is highly affected by the characteristics of the implant surface which has to allow adsorption of certain proteins, cell anchorage and hydroxyapatite deposition. In the present study we used a microemulsion route to develop a novel material based on cerium doped TiO2 and evaluated the properties mentioned above.
