Resumen:
Using images and multiband photometric data, obtained with theAdvanced Camera for Surveys of the Hubble Space Telescope(HST/ACS), we performed a systematic and homogeneousidentification of different star populations located in the central regionof the spiral galaxy NGC 2403.Based on the location over global color magnitude diagrams, we splitthe objects among a probable young blue population and an old redpopulation. In particular, we focused our attention on a selection ofbright blue stars, employing over them two different searchingmethods:a) stellar density maps for the identification of the most relevant andlarge scale galactic structures, and b) the PLC method, that takesinto account the spatial distance between objects, for those lowscale star groups. As a result, we have estimated sizes and densities of the identifiedgroups and we have built their individual colour-magnitude diagramsand luminosity functions. These tools have allowed us to derive thefundamental characteristics of the groups. Moreover, we were ableto establish different structures at several levels of stellar density thatrevealed the hierarchical structure of the young population in NGC2403.
