This Outline advances the claim that the continued and consistent development of fundamental economic concepts can set economic theory free from doctrinal (and ideological) biases. This claim, with a rationalistic tint we will deal with later, brings forth unavoidable questions: can economic science become Science, exhaustive and thorough Science; and if so, in what sense? These questions hence lead to a reexamination of which economic laws can account for the structural transformations of modern society. The author hopes that this line of research will, in due course, shed new light on the conditions of contemporary class struggle and the new perspectives of Socialism.
