Resumen:
A paleothermal analysis of the Ischigualasto extensional basin (Triassic halfgraben in La Rioja, Argentina) was carried out in order to establish its history of subsidence and exhumation, and the relative influence of the heating processes that took place therein. This allows estimating the moment in which the potentially source rock intervals would have reached the hydrocarbon generation window. To determine the maximum temperatures reached during burial, organic and inorganic indicators were used (%Ro, DRX in the clay fraction and U/Pb fission tracks in apatites). Also, thermochronology was carried out in order to elucidate the trajectory of exhumation. The softwares used for thermal modelling were Petromod and Hefty.
