Resumen:
Black Liquor generation from the reutilization in the recycling loop of a large scale Pulp Mill Process is presented. The use of this biofuel for energy generation and its influence in the process economics is analyzed. Model Predictive Control (MPC) implementation and the adjustment of its parameters is studied to achieve improvements in dynamics and economics respect to decentralized control. Costs and performance indexes are accounted to quantify the real benefits. The results presented here are obtained by dynamic simulation using a computational model of a complete pulp mill process of 8200 states.
