Resumen:
In this article a thermo-metallurgicalnumerical-computational model of the Jominytest is presented. Diffusive phase transformationsare modeled applying the rule of additivity formula forJohnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov, and themartensitic transformation is modeled by applying the formula of Koistinen-Marburger. Themetallurgical model is implementedin a finite element program.Coupling the thermal and metallurgical field is performed sequentially. The model applies to theprocess simulation Jominy a medium carbonsteel. The corresponding numericalresults to the curves and cooling rates, fractions of the constituentsare compared with those obtained in the laboratory and with those reportedin the literature reference.
