Resumen:
In this work, the identification and evolution with austempering time of the microstructure of a vermicular cast iron austemperized at 648 K between 1min and 10min was performed using scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM). The results are compared with those obtained using Mössbauer Spectroscopy (MS) and X-ray diffraction. Combining the information obtained by the different techniques, simulations of the evolution of the phase fractions with austempering time of the samples were performed.
