Resumen:
Paracoccidioidomycosis is an infectious disease of great importance in South America. It is caused by the fungus Paracoccidioides brasiliensis.   Objective: to determine the association between  PCM and other respiratory diseases. Tuberculosis (TBC), pulmonary cancer (CA), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (EPOC) and compatible X-ray image (IRXC).   Results: Among 84 selected patients from a General Hospital 10 cases of PCM were found. The 10 patients were middle age rural worker men. Diagnosis was achieved by serological study, microscopy and culture from different clinical samples. The associations were:  4 TBC, 3 EPOC, 2 IRXC and 1 CA.   We emphasize the importance of early laboratory differential diagnosis.
