Resumen:
The synthesis of linear block copolymers from biocompatible monomers can be employed to design materials for the controlled release of drugs or for the production of specific implants. [1]. In this work, the synthesis of well-defined linear block copolymers from ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) and hexamethyl (cyclotrisiloxane) (D3) monomers by employing anionic and ring-opening polymerization techniques is reported.Copolymerization of PDMS-OH macromonomer with ε-CL yields PDMS-b-PCL copolymers with well-defined structures and compositions. These materials show good compatibility with BG® and allow obtaining potentially bio-active compact coatings by using EPD.
