Resumen:
Nanogels are nanosized crosslinked networkscomposed of hydrophilic or amphiphilic polymer chainsthat are capable of absorbing and releasing largequantities of its retained fluid (water, physiologicalfluids and/or drugs) bearing the characteristics of bothhydrogels and nanoparticles.1 Thermoresponsivepolymers undergo a phase transition at a certaintemperature in aqueous media known as phasetransition (Tp).3 Since the monomers are harmful tobiological species, biological effects of the nanogelsshould be evaluated prior to its application inbiomedicine. In this work, nanogels based on PNIPAm(a thermosensitive polymer) were synthesized, characterized, and evaluated using biological assays.
