Resumen:
In this work we present the catalytic behavior of Ce0.9Zr0.1O2 synthesized by stoichiometric ¥á-aminoacid/nitrate gel-combustion routes. The structural, morphological and redox properties and the catalytic activity for total oxidation of CH4 were studied. Excellent conversions were obtained at temperatures around 700ºC, and the behavior of the catalyst was stable in typical time-on-stream periods of five hours. Catalysts synthesized by glycine combustion method showed the better performance. We found that selecting different a-aminoacid it is possible to get materials with tailored properties for catalytic applications.
