Resumen:
The following paper aims to present the outcomes of a recent research that I published in a book untitled Las conveniencias de la no-lectura (The Benefits of Not-Reading). I will use the word ?benefits? to expand upon a provocation already made by a French author, Pierre Bayard, about reading and not-reading, in his book How to talk about books you haven?t read. What I build upon is particularly a provocation that attacks the socio-cultural hierarchy between reading and not-reading. But I?m interested in this questioning on the hierarchy in order to think, in a, say, deconstructive way, about the dichotomy between reading and not-reading and thus bring the following questions: what does it mean to read? How does it oppose not-reading? What do we do when we read? What reading models are reproduced in the opposition of reading versus not-reading?
