To explain the contribution of nanoscience to the tissue engineering, we will initiate by describing the nanocomposite nature of bone and the extracellular matrix (ECM). Then we will discuss about how the recreation of native tissues nanostructure could enhance functional tissue organization and its effect on the matrix properties after the implantation of engineered tissues.
