Resumen:
This exposition has two sections. The first one presents some of the main theses of Karin de Boer's new book: Kant's Reform of Metaphysics. In the second section, I will present some comments and questions. Mainly, I will discuss de Boer's understanding of the predication of categories. I will defend that stating (1) that pure categories have a meaning of their own, (2) that their predication of the soul, the world and God is not in itself dialectical, and (3) that only their predication as schematized categories is dialectical, all this leaves just the right space in order to explain (1) how come it is possible to think of quasi-objects (these requires categories, not just forms of judgements), (2) how come there is a legitimate metaphysical system that does not provide cognition of objects and (3) explaining why and how reason may end up in transcendental illusions.
