Resumen:
The volume is an edited collection of papers dealing with a selection of 35-40 of the world´s deaf sign languages and auxiliary sign languages. Each paper is specifically written for the volume by an expert or a team of experts in the particular sign language. Both deaf and hearing scholars have contributed to the book. María Ignacia Massone and Rocío Anabel Martínez are in charge of the chapter devoted to the sign language that belongs to the Argentine Deaf community: Argentine Sign Language.
