Resumen:
We propose a phonon pumping mechanism to transfer heat between two ends of a low dimensional system using a time modulation of the contact between components. This phonon pump can work as a heat pump, but also can operate as a phononic refrigerator that can be used to cool nanomechanical systems. In the last regime, we characterize the cooling performance of the device.
