Resumen:
Currently, variability management in softwareproduct lines requires novel mechanisms to deal with the inherentcomplexity of domain modeling. From this perspective, the construction of semantic artifacts, supporting the modelingand implementation of variability from users? requirements toreuse component development, gives stakeholders a frameworkfor communication and disambiguation. Annotative and compositionalapproaches have emerged to provide a solution; however, they separately partially focus on solving variability modeland implementation problems. In this paper, we use semanticresources together a structured way of moving between artifactsand representations, which led us to an annotative as well ascompositional approach. We describe the implementation of thetechnique, which is based on level-domain views and drivenby taxonomy-based annotations for describing variability andcommonality and for providing user customization of the softwareartifacts to be managed. We illustrate the proposal through acase study in the marine ecology domain, where results showedan improvement in development time
