In this chapter we explore how recent Colombian artistic production about the armedconflict has been informed by the ethnographic turn (Foster 2001), transforming both thepolitical role of artists and art in a context of transitional justice – an approach to systematicor massive violations of human rights that both provides redress to victims and creates orenhances opportunities for the transformation of the political systems, conflicts, and otherconditions that may have been at the root of human rights violations.
