This lecture offers a historical and critical approach to the legal regulation of international security from the transformation of a state-centered dimension into a new ?humanitarian? paradigm (a shift from national and international to human security).The purpose of the talk is toa Analyze the case-study of arms control by focusing on the two more recent instruments (the Arms Trade Treaty and the recent Convention for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons) in the context of this ?developing? perspective.
