Resumen:
In determining the possible drift range of terrestrial phytosanitary sprays, the evaporation process of the ejected droplets plays an essential role in quantifying both the efficiency of the application as well as the possible risk of product drift. In the present work, the evaporation process of droplets that are ejected from a nozzle in a wind tunnel is simulated by means of a double coupled model. There are 40 measurements with droplet diameters in the order of 100 um and 200 um in nine tests with variations of weather conditions. For the two sets of droplet diameters, an R2 >0.96 is observed in the evaporation adjustment.
