Resumen:
In the province of Entre Rios (Argentina) rainfall has high impact on both agriculture and other economic and social sectors. Rainfall has a great variability and satellite products contain uncertainty in their values, so it is necessary to compare the satellite estimates with ground rain gauge measurements to evaluate the performance at local and regional level. In this paper are analyzed the information of rainfall estimated by satellite Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) together with measurements realized in six meteorological stations, located in the area of study, during the year 2010 and 2011. For each station correlation analysis considering daily data, accumulated precipitation 8 days and monthly, was performed. The results show that with 95% confidence no significant difference in variances for five stations and no significant mean differences in any of the seasons. It turns out that the stations have correlations with r values between 0.10 and 0.7 for daily data, between 0.65 and 0.82 for data accumulated in periods of 8 days and between 0.58 and 0.82 for monthly rainfall, all coefficients are significant at 95% confidence level.
