Bioremediation is the best tool for the clean up of hydrocarbons contaminated soils. In Antarctica, climate conditions and regulations determine the use of indigenous psychrotolerant strains. In this work we show field assays evaluating the efficiency of biostimulation and bioaugmentation on Antarctic soils under acute and chronic hydrocarbon contamination.
