Accretion disks are astrophysical flows formed by matter containing a significant amount of angular momentum being gravitationally attracted by compact objects and take place in a variety of objects ranging from binary systems to active galactic nuclei. The accretion process enables a powerful mechanism of conversion of gravitational energy into kinetic energy and radiation. In this work, we derive the hydrodynamic equations in the shearing box frame and we briefly explain the pseudo-spectral code implemented. We present the preliminary numerical results for a 2D disk with and without shear in order to show the effect of shear on a turbulent 2D flow. [Presentación Oral]
