Resumen:
The efficiency of aluminium, calcium and zinc tripolyphosphates pigments was studied. The pigments were obtained in the laboratow, analysed by current anal~ical techniques and their antieorrosive properties evaluated in pigment suspensions and in anticorrosive paints. Traditional solvent borne paints (alkyd and epoxy/polyamide resins) with PVC (pigment volume concentration) of 40%, and water-borne paints (epoxy/poliamidoamine resin) with two PVC: 20 and 25%~ were formulated. The pigment anticorrosive content was, in every case, 30%v/v, with respect to the total pigment concentration. The performance of the resulting paints was assessed by accelerated tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Results showed that in general the tested pigments have satisfactory anticorrosive properties.
