Resumen:
The objective of this research was to carry out the functional design ofa software product that calculates spatio-temporal parameters of human gait usingrecorded videos. Tools from Software Engineering were used for this purpose.User requirements were elicited and analyzed, then they were modeled as usecases. Based on these, the user experience (layout)was developed. Once the qualityanalysis of the software productwas obtained, the functional test cases were carriedout, with which the program can be tested as it is implemented. Finally, afterthese documents were obtained, it was possible to make a comparison between asoftware prototype (Hapet), already in use and the software designed in this project,determining that the semantic gap that exists between the two is important
