Lack of effector differentiation has been reported for HIV-specific T cells. In this study we evaluate the quality of CD8+T cells in duodenal mucosa of 7 HIV-1 infected individuals (HIV+). Five HIV(-) individuals were studied as controls (C). Fresh biopsies were collected from HIV+ and C.
