Search, description, identification, nomenclature and classification of transposable elements in the genome of yerba mate. Characterization of 8 elements of Class I LTR retrotransposons (nonautonomous LTRs) and 2 of non-LTR retrotransposons of the SINE2/tRNA clade. Sequences with annotated features are deposited at the Repbase Update database (www.girinst.org).
