Resumen:
The study of hadron properties such as their masses and coupling constants requires in general to deal with QCD at low energies, where the strong coupling constant becomes large and the theory is nonperturbative. This problem can be addressed by the introduction of effective theories, i.e. using models that are simple in comparison with QCD but retain the basic properties of the fundamental theory. Here we consider nonlocal SU(3) chiral quark models with wave function renormalization, in which quarks are coupled to a background color field. Within the mean field approximation, we determine model parameters and analyse the basic properties of light mesons. Then, in this same framework we study the features of the chiral restoration and deconfinement phase transitions that occur for a hadronic system at finite temperature. We also analyse the temperature dependence of several thermodynamical quantities for various color field potentials and nonlocal form factor shapes.
