Resumen:
The integration of bio(macro)molecules into solid-state nanochannels (SSNs) for the construction of biosensors has become a reality due to the combination of nanofabrication and surface functionalization techniques. The unique ion transport properties of these biofunctionalized abiotic SSNs allow the detection of multiple biomarkers with high specificity, selectivity, and sensitivity. The topics covered in this work comprise the fundamental concepts in ion transport properties, nanofabrication and functionalization techniques, and concrete examples that reflect the recent advances in the construction of SSNs-based biosensors.
