Resumen:
In the pampean region of Argentina, taphonomic studies have focused on the analysis of taphonomic effects and patterns in the archaeofaunal assemblages. Progress in actualistic taphonomy studies is lacking. The following work presents the preliminary results of recent actualistic taphonomy studies developed in the region. The objective is to generate a corpus of data for the development of hypothesis regarding different processes involved in the formation of the archaeological record in the pampean grasslands. Results from taphonomic transects in different environmental settings in the region, the systematic observations, as well as the experimental design of the project are discussed.
