Resumen:
The administration of L. plantarum 73a alone or in combination with B. animalis subsp. lactis INL1 were able to modulate the fecal microbiota of an obese child and significantly decreased ammonium formation. Accordingly, based on the profiles of the fecal microbiota, the mix of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria significantly altered the microbiota composition (p= 0,04). The results obtaining so far are encouraging for further studies tending to the development of novel probiotics derived from locally sourced strains.
