Dynamical behavior of conformal fluids in 2+1 dimensions

We present preeliminary results on the study the dynamical behavior of relativistic conformal fluids on a two-sphere. The motivation comes from the so call 'fluid-gravity duality', which is a particular limit of the more general AdS/CFT correspondence. This 'duality' maps solutions from this particular types of fluids to solutions to Einsteins equations with negative cosmological constant. Thus, we raise here the question of whether these peculiar fluids behaves as their Nawtonian analogs, and if so, what are the consecuences of some well know observations about non-relativistic fluids in 2d and 3d, for the gravity side of the correspondence.
