Resumen:
Palatini gravity is a formulation for gravity where, instead of metrics, the fundamental degrees of freedom are sections of the frame bundle LM. In this setting, sections obeying Einstein’s equations can be found by performing arbitrary variations on the section of the jet bundle of LM. This feature can be an obstacle in finding a unified formalism for the underlying field theory, because it has been designed to describe variational problems of classical type, where the variations on the jet bundle are performed only on holonomic sections. In the present talk we will explain how to construct a unified formalism for Palatini gravity, inspired in the construction of Lepage-equivalent variational problems given by Gotay.
