Resumen:
The ectoparasite community of Chaetophractus villosus and Zaedyus pichiy (Xenarthra: Chlamyphoridae) from the province of La Pampa, Argentina, is investigated. Three species of fleas and a tick were found: Malacopsylla grossiventris, Phthiropsylla agenoris, Hectopsylla broscus (Siphonaptera) and Amblyomma pseudoconcolor (Ixodida). The species of Malacopsyllidae were the most frequently found ectoparasites. Hectopsylla broscus was found for the first time parasitizing C. villosus. Amblyomma pseudoconcolor was recorded for the first time for the Espinal and for La Pampa province. Although the four species are represented in the Monte ecoregion, only M. grossiventris and A. pseudoconcolor were found in the Espinal, which could be attributed to environmental factors.
